This piece is inspired by Grandmother Flordemayo’s Seed Temple. One of these seedkeeper vessels held space on the altar at the 20th anniversary Gathering of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers in Sante Fe, New Mexico this year. Designs on each figurine are unique. She has space to hold small seeds.

SEEDKEEPER ...
Preserving seeds in an earthen vessel is an ancient method of storage. This clay goddess serves as a tiny temple holding seeds near her heart as symbols of life-giving nourishment with the potential to awaken many generations from now. Drop your seeds into the opening & seal them in with wet clay or wax. To ensure they remain viable, place her in a cool, dry place, noting what seeds are held within.
All Bell Pine Art Farm sculptures are individually handmade with sacred intention. Designs vary on each piece.
