With the collaboration & blessing of Grandmother Agnus Baker Pilgrim, of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, Debbie designed the “Riverkeeper” sculpture. Each piece carries Grandma Aggie’s prayer to protect those who hold them & gives voice to the waters of our Earth. The Riverkeeper Totem is an image of Grandmother Aggie, calling the salmon home.

A small hole in the bottom holds a cloth for collecting drops of sacred water & acknowledging it as a living being. A beautiful way to carry the water essence from any sacred site or ceremony. Leave the cloth in place. As the water wicks into her body, she holds the living vibration & magnetism of each place & experience.

Each totem carries Grandma Aggie’s Blessing.

GRANDMA AGGIE’S BLESSING ...

"Dearly Beloved, Creator of All, Creator of the Great Mystery, Breathe your healing breath onto these carriers of good medicine so they touch those who hold them & manifest peace in their hearts for themselves & the world. Grandfather, with your help we pray for Our Earth Mother’s blood. The precious water all over the world needs us to thank it for all life. We know water can hear, so every human being can give prayers of thanks & talk to the water. Grandfather, include this with the Riverkeeper totems so they embody this prayer. It is done. The water can hear you, bring your voice! Pour your heart into the river. Say 'Thank you, I love you, I promise to care for you...' With purest intention, may all water be BLESSED, restoring it to life-sustaining balance. You are the river!" Aho!
